Description
I'm a sucker for anything art deco. I recently got a book of American deco designs and decided I'd try my hand at it. This was a first attempt and I didn't get all the styling cues right, but it turned out really well. My inspirations were the world's fair posters of the '30s, the rapture mascot from "Bioshock" and german and soviet propaganda posters from the prewar period.

I was lucky enough to see an exhibit of prewar German and Soviet propaganda posters at the Chicago art institute last fall. Really amazing stuff. They just don't do design like they used to.
